HYROX-style & functional conditioning in Powai

Trainer-led HYROX-style and functional conditioning near Powai, Hiranandani and IIT Bombay, done indoors with our cardio and functional kit, programmed by a coach toward your goals.

Eagle Square Fitness offers trainer-led HYROX-style and functional conditioning in Powai, done indoors as part of general functional training, using our cardio and functional equipment. It's coaching you add on, not a dedicated race facility: we don't have a HYROX rig, turf or race-prep zone, and we won't pretend to. What we do have is trainers who can program functional conditioning toward a HYROX-style challenge.

What is HYROX?

HYROX is a standardised indoor fitness race, the same format anywhere in the world, which is what makes your time comparable and the training worth doing right. You complete 8 rounds, and every round is a 1 km run followed by one functional station. That's roughly half the race spent running, which is the single most common thing first-timers underestimate. It's part endurance event, part strength-endurance test, and beatable by regular people who train for it.

The 8 HYROX stations, in order

The stations come in a fixed sequence, each after a 1 km run:

  1. SkiErg, 1000 m
  2. Sled Push, 50 m
  3. Sled Pull, 50 m
  4. Burpee Broad Jumps, 80 m
  5. Row, 1000 m
  6. Farmers Carry, 200 m
  7. Sandbag Lunges, 100 m
  8. Wall Balls, 100 reps

None of the movements are technical on their own. The challenge is doing them tired, with 8 kilometres of running woven through, and stringing it all together without blowing up. That's exactly what smart training prepares you for.

How to train for HYROX: an 8-12 week structure

Most people can get race-ready for their first HYROX in 8 to 12 weeks of focused training. Here's the structure our coaches build around:

  • Build the run engine first. Half the race is running, so this is non-negotiable. Easy-pace volume plus some intervals to raise your threshold. If your running is strong, everything else gets easier.
  • Practise compromised runs and transitions. Running fresh is easy; running after a sled push is not. We train "compromised runs", station, then run, then station, so your legs learn to move after they're loaded. Transitions (the walk from station to run) are free time if you rehearse them.
  • Add station-specific strength. Heavy sled work, farmers carries, lunges and wall balls build the exact strength-endurance the stations demand. This is where the strength floor pays off, a stronger base means the sled feels lighter on race day.
  • Rehearse race-day pacing. In the last few weeks you run simulations at goal effort, dial in your pacing, and learn when to push and when to hold. Going out too hard on the first run wrecks more races than any station.

How we train it at Eagle Square

Let's be straight about what we are and aren't. We don't have a dedicated HYROX facility, no turf, no HYROX rig, no ski-ergs or wall-ball zone, no official HYROX affiliation and no race-prep setup. Anyone claiming that in Powai is overselling. What we do have is a 6,000 sq ft floor stocked with top-quality, best-in-market and well-maintained equipment, a full cardio zone (including rowers), a functional training area and our strength zone, plus trainers who know how to program functional conditioning. Equipment quality tells you most of what you need to know, and the kit you'll actually train on here is premium, even if we don't have a dedicated race rig.

So HYROX-style work here is trainer-led and done indoors: a coach builds sessions around your running engine, compromised-run intervals, carries, lunges, sled-style pushes and other functional movements using the kit we actually have. It's programmed toward a HYROX-style challenge, adapted to whatever equipment fits. This runs as trainer-led coaching, an add-on, not something bundled into every membership. FREE steam afterward helps you recover between hard sessions.

HYROX Mumbai 2026, a reason to start now

HYROX Mumbai 2026 is expected around 17-20 September 2026. Dates can move, so confirm on the official HYROX site, but if you want to race it, work backward: an 8-12 week build means beginning your prep in good time rather than cramming. Starting now with a coach-led plan is the difference between finishing strong and just surviving. If you're brand new to structured conditioning, our coaches will set the right loads from your free first session, the same coaching approach we describe on personal training in Powai.
